STAR courses are available to students in Years 11-13. These courses are funded by the school and support students to explore career pathways and help them make informed decisions about their schooling and future work or study. They offer students the opportunity to participate in vocational programmes which are not provided as part of the school’s core curriculum. It is hoped that by participating in these courses students will be motivated to achieve and will be supported in their transition to further education, training or employment. STAR-funded courses may include studying university papers, attending PIHMS Career Week, Bartending, Security, Flight Attending and Barista courses.
